Design a logo + avatar for a Japanese styled website

For a to be developed project (website) I'm looking for a logo design + the design of an avatar that can be used on the site.

The site is called Kiroku which is Japanese for archive. Japan is known for their making order in chaos. For example the famous Marie Kondo. The purpose of the site is to have a cleaned up overview of all contracts and insurences are person has. In stead of keeping this info in a shoebox or somewhere in a mail archive this site helps you to order that info and make it easy to quickly find it back.

There is no design for the site yet so this will be the first direction to get a design. For that I'm looking for someone who can create the logo and an avatar that will be used to help the user out on the website. This avatar will be used on several pages to explain stuff.

Winner of the contest delivers the logo + avatar in several formats (like JPG, PNG, PSD etc).

Please don't enter standard manga like designs that can be found on several cheap logo sites. I really need a "one-off" design.

    Again: it was a hard choice with so many nice designs. I picked the one with the best font and ask tht designer to work on the " avatar" part. Hopefully you will join my future design contests too

    Thanks all. you make it really hard for me to pick a winner. None of the designs is perfect. Some have a nice font but no "avatar", others have a nice avatar but ugly font, some have a nice story, others don't. In the next 24 hours I'll pick a winner. The one I pick most probably needs to alter his/her design a bit to make it perfect so the main thing I will chose on now is if I have confidence that the person I pick can make those changes to make his or her design perfect.

    First of all thanks for everyone who made a design so far. The total is almost over 500 so I cant give personal feedback anymore. If I rated 1 star its mainly for the reasons I mentioned earlier or: I cant see a connection to what the website does or you used an avatar that looks angry/grumpy :) It doesnt mean you created an ugly logo. Most of the designs are really pretty. It just means it does not fit what I'm looking for.

    For those still working on stuff. In the current designs im missing the actual “zen” part. The logo should give you a feeling of zen that helps you feel good that the mess in contracts is solved for you by this thrustworthy tool
