Design for a tiny mobile home

We are looking for talented designers to come up with a conceptual idea for a tiny mobile home. We would like conceptual floor plan, elevation, section and 3D renderings showing the tiny home.

These tiny homes are being designed to house homeless people. The homes should be approximately 10’ tall, 10’ Wide and 20’ long. These dimensions are used so that these tiny homes can be placed inside of a shipping container and shipped overseas. When the trailers are placed on the site they should be able to expand outwards (pop-out) like the trailer in image one. We would also like for the ceiling to be able to be raised up to allow for a higher ceiling.

These tiny home should be on wheels (the end goal is to put them on trailer chassis, Image 2 below). The tiny homes should have two bedrooms and a shared bathroom.

These trailers are designed with sustainability in mind so they can be placed “off the grid”. Sustainability features which will be included are rooftop solar panels, compostable toilets, and recycled water for showers.

    Are you sure about the size of the container? I looked up 20' container and these are only 8' wide by 8' high, so interior sizes are much less. You have not mentioned where these are going, so no idea about insulation. How about the cost factor? Is it to be made of the cheapest possible materials?

    Normal maximum widths allowed on roads are 8'..correct? It might be different for different countries. A 10' high ceiling seems a bit too high. You made no mention of a kitchen, is this required?

      Hey Tanmay, the homes should be very simple. They are going to be occupied by people who are recently homeless. The key for this project is to provide a comfortable, safe shelter.

    I think its a great contest and needs more time for conception. if is possible to increase the prize because it's not a normal project and needs floor plan, facade, and great rendering.

      Hey Yuri, because this is a conceptual project we don't want to get overly detailed with the design. It is our goal to have limited conceptual design package that touches on all the criteria set forth in the description.
