Contest details

This is a contest for three (3) illustrations, 3D renders, or photo manipulations to illustrate a mythological high-fantasy short story. The finished illustrations should fit and accompany the story. If possible should illustrate a scene in the story.

Deliverables: For this contest you will make 3 images:

A scene with only the character Mootill
A scent with only the Characte Traesha
A scene with both Mootil and Traesha

You may, and are encouraged, to post each individual image as you proceed. I am very good about giving feedback. However, to be declared the winner that entry should show all three scenes.

All three scenes should be inspired by the Story “The Den of the Temptress” You can find this story more details of the contest and some of my old related art here:

NO CARTOONS!!
NOTHING AIMED at CHILDREN
NO Full Nudity
NO STEALING OTHERS DESIGNS OFF the INTERNET (and I will check)

Each image should have a background (please read the story for inspiration) and be its own scene with the following specifications:

* 16:9 Aspect ratio. Min 4000px on the long edge
* 300DPI RGB JGEG and associated design files (editable .PSD)
* Winner will award full copyright to images and design files.

Image may be digitally painted, 3D rendered, a photomanipulation or a combination of any of these. If a photo manipulation or 3D render please note it should NOT look like a photograph and be overly photo-realistic (but not a cartoon). It instead should have an illustrated or painted feel to it.

In past contests, I have had problems with entries being stolen work or assets used that the artist does not have the right to use. Please understand this will not be tolerated. You may use other people’s assets but it must be a royalty-free site that does not require attribution, or you must have the right to use the asset commercially.

      Aes. a few people have submitted several 3D renders (or combined with painting and photo manip). Blender, zbrush and Daz3d. Mostly sealed entries. It does not have to be sealed, that is your choice. If it is your model please indicate this clearly. If it is a commercially available model (or someone else's model you are allowed to use for commercial renders) please provide link to where you got the model. My suggestion if you use a commercial model you look at daz3d.com

    Dear Contest participant, before your enter, read the brief in the google doc FULLY. Please understand you can ot use other people's art or part of it unless your get these from sites that allow this and grant you the Licence to do so Such as Unsplash - here are other sources - https://blog.worldanvil.com/2020/06/19/how-to-find-free-art-for-your-worldbuilding/ or you may use stock from a stock service IF you have paid for a COMMERCIAL use Licence. YOU MAY NOT just use someone else art you found on the internet. Almost all entries so far have been disqualified for this reason. Please understand I have ways of checking and knowing. If you do use some element from anywhere, you must include a link to it. If it is an illustration you have made please add a sketch from the beginning before coloring or inking. This is all explained in the brief.

    please let me say this again after viewing some early entries. Do not enter someone else's work as your own. I do have ways of checking. If you use some stock it must be freely available and royalty-free or you must show you have the right to use the stock commercially. In all cases, if you use some stock elements you must say so and provide a link to where you got it.
