This contest is to find an artist to create up to 70 pieces of artwork of the same style and theme, final pieces cost is open to discussion with winner. The overall theme is Gnomes fighting each other in a bar brawl atmosphere. The artwork should not have unnecessary gore. Gnomes are based on British folklore and the atmosphere should be Irish Pub/British garden. The artwork needs to be comedic, detailed, and mature. See attached examples. You can do different ideas for each individual piece, but they should each be full of action. Please look at the examples. The examples are the exact style I am looking for, if your style is similar to the examples you have a very good chance of winning the contest. The examples of a good idea of what gnomes should look like, provide action, focus on the characters, have a detailed background that is not distracting, and is also colorful and bright. I encourage all entries to meet these requirements.
Artwork size is: 5.7x5.5 cm. If you could do it larger and scale it down that would be great.
The Gnomes can look like typical pictures. However, they arent all bearded and wearing the same clothes. Different ages, male, female, and clothing should all be seen through the art.
The target audience is for college aged people.
To win this contest create the 3 pieces of art listed below. These include character sketches as well as some of the various methods the gnomes will be fighting one another. You do NOT need to make all of these pieces to win this contest, however, the more of your work I can see the more likely it will be that you will be awarded the larger project.
---Sketches, not complete pieces, can be color or not color, and do not need any backgrounds or action. Show me that you know what these characters and items look like for the following: 2 Gnomes, 1 Fairy, 1 Leprechaun, 1 Troll, and 2 Drinks made by Fairies.
---Steak knife. Two gnomes fighting. One of them holding a human steak knife so it will be a lot larger compared to a gnome. This will demonstrate that all object will be different sizes and show a potential challenge of scaling correctly. Gnome are about 15 cm tall for scale. This is a full color piece and should be similar in activity and detail as the examples.
---Recreate 1 of the three example pieces in your own style, same weapon (spoon, pencil, salt), but all other details may be altered.

Backgrounds should be outside in a human sized garden with gnome sized objects similar to what would be found in an Irish Pub (chairs, tables, beer mugs, etc.). Please keep scale of objects accurate.

The contest is officially at its halfway point. What is setting people apart right now is their ability to complete all requirements. There are few entries which have the character sketches, steak knife, and recreation piece. There are several entries which show lots of potential but it is hard for me to compare, when they are still in progress. The project still has lots of time, I look forward to seeing more finished products. If you are still planning on submitting an entry, and have not done so yet, please know that the earlier you do that the more feedback I can provide.
