I will consider images that do not include background but are an original drawing. If you have created a drawing and then placed it over a clip-art (other person's work) background, then please remove the background.

  Some good ones coming in. As I mentioned in the brief, my wife is always very busy solving problems and coming to the rescue - so if you can draw lots of activity (dealing with parents, teachers, kids etc.), that would capture some of what I am after

  I would like to see a 'Ruth to the Rescue' style, where my wife is changing to 'Rescue Ruth' (remember that scene in Superman, where Clark Kent rushes down the street opening his shirt to reveal the Superman costume underneath)

  I like the cartoon style with the 'R' logo. I would like to see some kids and toys (lego, cars etc.) playing happily, it would be nice if they were drawn in the same style as my wife.

  To date I have rejected a dozen entries as they have used unoriginal materials in the submission. There are still some entries that I suspect have used unoriginal materials in their 'drawings', including background. I will reject submissions that have copy and pasted from other sources - including the original image of my wife (the copyright belongs to the photographer).
  
  I will report particularly egregious submissions.
  
  I am very disappointed that I have had to write this. The original idea was a surprise for my wife and to receive so many copy and paste jobs, which are both lazy and unethical, is frustrating and I feel very bad for those legitimate artists who get crowded out by this sort of behaviour.

  Some interesting graphic so far. I like the drawing/cartoon style in particular. Just a note though, rather than 'super ruth' I think she would prefer 'Rescue Ruth'

  Some great designs - I like the cartoon faces. I also like the ones where people have made the effort to do the drawings themselves. As noted by a comment below - vector graphics from some other site are lazy and won't end up winning. I will award the price to people who have put time and talent in.
  
  I would also like to see some teacher/principal types of materials in the background - things like kids playing, lego, toy cars, desks etc.
  
  I like the R for ruth and I love the idea of a logo incorporated.

  Ok, some interesting designs. Just a couple of notes, I would appreciate a drawn cartoon face, rather than copying the face from the supplied photo. Also, nothing too 'risqué'....she works in a school and will probably have it on her desk. Keep 'em coming.
