**NAME ONLY** The competition is to come up with the best name for a café/restaurant whose main function is live music, day or night. During the day there may be a guitarist or pianist. At night there will be larger acts. A black baby grand piano will be visible at all times on the large stage with a deep red velvet curtain behind and antiqued instruments hanging about. Location is about 3300 square feet (320 m2) with lots of natural light and a small outer patio. The interior theme is a cross between a speakeasy, a lounge, and a European café. Furnishings will include some aged leather couches and some velvet ones, bookshelves, some booths, and café style tables as well as an oversized bar where a performer or dancer will do their thing. Stageshow lighting and special room lighting will accent the musical entertainment as well as other sensory experiences like mystical smells for certain songs and percussion instruments for the audience to participate. Think about a play where the actors interact with the patrons. Quality entertainment is the goal. It is not a nighttime place per se but an all day hang out offering breakfast and pastry from 7:30am with higher end gastropub offerings that's open weekends till 2am, so it's a café/bar hybrid The music will range from Reggae, to classic rock, to Salsa, to jazz, to opera and classical singers and instrumentalists, to Flamenco and so on. No one with tracks will be permitted to perform (singers with guitar or band tracks for example).
The catch: the location is in the country of Colombia, the city of Medellin. It is located in an international tourist district but is 90% for locals of a mid to higher economic strata. It is also going to be the opposite of everything else offered in the entire which is; a) loud, b) open to the street, c) not intimate d) of poor music through speakers , e) kinda classy but not because of the noise and bums around. The name has to be pronounceable by Spanish speakers with little to no knowledge of English. It is even better if the name translates well or is "the same" in both languages, but, lean towards an English naming. The experience we are trying to deliver is "comfy, chill, artful, musical, unique, classy, and uplifting if not spiritual", like a great movie, play, or song that transforms you and makes you grateful to have participated, as all high art does. You'll have to leave American world thinking for this one. It's not about the money- We're not trying to be exclusive either. This place is for lovers of quality live music. The food and drink are mere happenstance but will be quality driven. Words like "café" or 'bar' could be used in the title but are not necessary per se as food and drink are implied with music venues. There are of course examples where that works nicely a la "Something, café and bar"- Good luck-

The first thing in opening an business is to be fair and knowing what is needed. Thankful for receiving ideas to help getting things rolling. NEVER put name and logo in the same contest. Logo guys are incapable of namer's / writer's work and vice versa. Two completely different skills. This will turn into a logo contest without a name. So, what you can do now is change your brief, exclude logo and search for the name first. Then post a logo contest to match the name (for a far less budget). Good luck with brikzza villa, cafe music, musimug, brileve, audioly.....and other stupidities as a proposed brand names. It would be pity that such an original place don't get an adequate name.   Dzukelo, ja sam predlozio unikatan dizajn, MusiCafe tti je malo pamettnija kombinacija nesto sto ti mislis da si pametna, to je dvojna kombinacija, jer se ime trazi da odgovara na dva jezika, a ta kombinacija e jednostavna i laka za izgovor, kako se trazi, pa tako to je kombinacija iz Music Cafe i Musica Cafe, bem te u plava glupava, a sam usput kreirao i unikatnu ikonu koja odgovara opisu, plus pamtenije nego sto bi ti ikad mogla da kreiras.

That doesn't always happen, I always worked on both branches, it's true that most designers aren't given to writing creativity, but it can't be generalized. Creating a name is something that takes a lot of research and represents a lot of work. But here they pay so little that the most basic and the first thing that comes to mind is suggested. A name for that type of business must cost more than $1000 and the name as much. But if it is true that the owner of a business must have the ability to know what name he wants for his company.
