Optimize my logo for digital use

I have a logo that is circular, I would like to transform it in a way that it displays well from a header / navigation bar. Looking to re-purpose to have a more horizontal aesthetic.

Perhaps text only with icon that still incorporates current aesthetic in a way. Icon to incorporate the text MSC and/or the clay target icon from our existing logo.

I don't want to change my logo entirely but perhaps offer an alternative branding logo. Company name is Michigan Shooting Centers. Looking for approximate dimensions of 700 x 120 (high definition, but to that scale). Current logo attached.

The redesigned logo and the current one should convey the same aesthetic and be easily recognizable as the same brand image. Same colors.
