The time line is short but this is just to find the right artist and then we can take some time to refine everything.

Looking for technical sketch kind of artwork.
Concept art. More work to come for the retail / marketing materials if we enjoy your work.

We have developed hardware and software for a digital in home pistol training platform. We need artwork to demonstrate a concept of the product to investors before we begin prototyping.

Concept art package 1. The pistol itself. (Sleek concept pistol with sensors. Info below)

Concept art package 2. The Computing Hardware / Safe. A modern looking computer box with a projector that doubles as a gun safe) Depending on which way you tackle the design, it may be better to think of this as a futuristic safe with a computer and projector in the back of it.

Concept art package 3. The product being used by a person. A lifestyle room shot of the gun being aimed at a wall, the computer projecting targets on that wall.

Rudimentary images included to get the idea across but more details below.

The pistol needs to be a new pistol. Not like anything on the market. Modern and sleek looking enough to be attractive, yet needs to maintain elements of a current modern pistol as the idea is to have a REALISTIC feel when fired. So it will need to have a grip that can house a magazine and a slide that will recoil as a real weapon would.

We're looking for sleek, a little futuristic and functional. Not Sci-Fi or Fantasy.

The pistol needs to have obvious illuminated sensors on the side of the barrel to make sure people are keeping the trigger finger away from the trigger safely until they need to fire.

The pistol needs to have an illuminated strip sensor down the inside of the handle to make sure the user is always gripping correctly.

I have included rudimentary doodles on a concept artwork of a futuristic pistol that is cool but please go in your own direction with the pistol itself.

The computing unit will have a projector coming out of one side and will double as a safe. So one of the images of the computing unit will need to show the box being open as a safe and another will need to show it projecting light. I included some concept art from online that's the closest thing I could find to a unit that sits on the floor and looks like it might be a computer/projector but again, your own design please.

The image of it all in use would be ideal an over the shoulder video that shows targets being projectd on the wall by the computer that sits on the floor. The weapon clearly being held and pointed at the wall. Maybe some sensors on the wall facing the shooter to show potential space mapping.

Questions please. Ill be very responsive as this is such a fast turnaround need for us. I'll be ending the contest the moment I fall in love with an art style and work ethic.

4. I would also suggest that your 3D digital rendering of the pistol unit, while very sexy, is a little bit "Blade Runner" for my taste in this application. I don't think its close enough to the look and feel of a real sidearm of the present day. I can, of course, fix that. I was even thinking about interchangeable grip / magwell options to simulate different side arm types ( 1911, SIG, Glock, Baretta 92 F / series, etc )

3. As an illustrator (and a firearms trainer) I would suggest now that your "over-the-shoulder" view is not the most optimal way to show the process to advantage. I have some suggestions (which of course would be subject to what we're actually trying to achieve in this stage).

1. I grew up with firearms - I shot 3 gun matches before, during and after the Marine Corps; I have given training in firearms to everyone from housewives for basic gun handling and safety to Foreign Small arms Familiarization classes to U.S. Army reserve units prepping for deployment to Iraq...
