AutoCAD Architecture, or ACAD, is basically AutoCAD with additional features and tools particularly designed for architectural work. While AutoCAD utilizes Lines, Arcs and Circles, to illustrate the design, ACAD has additional 3D parametric tools for drawing walls, windows, roofs, etc. Architectural objects in this software are intelligent in such a way that one interacts with another; if a wall where a door is attached gets removed, the door will react to the change. Among the features of ACAD include the ability to create and modify 2D geometry and 3D models, annotate drawings with text, dimensions, and tables, extracting object data to tables, and attaching data from PDF files.
