I would like a quote on redesigning my website [login to view URL], which actually splits into 2 sites a surf shop site and a skateshop site, into flash sites. The site is currently Coldfusion and runs Mysql. I like the functionality of the site, but my friend who has been doing it for me is dragging ass and he doesn't know flash at all. I think what I want done will work better in flash, but I'm not sure. I want to have the ability of a movie player on the main surf and skate pages but we tried using just a straight quicktime player and it just starts over everytime you click a link, and also if you don't have quicktime already on your computer it ask you to download it everytime, so for now I just made them animated gif. But that and the animated banner both start over everytime you click on a link. Also the menu buttons on the left are kind of sticky and the header on the surf page doesn't load right the first time almost everytime you enter it. I'm also looking for some other features that my friend can't seem to finish up on. A suggested other items feature. A search by size feature for shoes, and pants and other clothing items. A join our mailing list feature and/or enter a contest feature. A picture gallary feature that I can load albums into and they will play back like a slide show with music. I already have a admin section that links to my point of sale software at our physical store. I would like sections added to this so that I can go in and change out the header graphics and admin the movie player . The movie player should be able to hold up to 10 different movies at up to 2 mins. in length and should randomly start with one or maybe have one specified to start and then also have a drop down button on the player so that the user can select another movie to play. I also want the site to be able to be crawled by the search engine spiders so that I can eventually move up the ranks for search words that pertain to my store and brands that we carry. If a total flash site isn't necessary then please advise. Also I would like to eventually add a chat area.
