Write an article for a language teaching/learning journal (such as ELT or TESOL journal) on 2 tasks(READING AND SPEAKING) that you have used or could use in your teaching to develop discourse skills/discourse competence in the classroom. The article should include an introduction, information about the context and target audience for which the tasks are designed, a summary of the tasks and their aims/objectives and finally a discussion/justification of each task about its usefulness using literature on discourse analysis. Conclude your report with some overall comments on teaching discourse skills, based on this experience. This assignment assesses all the learning outcomes and all UC attributes. At least 8 references excluding the textbooks should be used in this assignment. Tasks can include a number of activities/steps and can be adapted from other sources; these sources should not be included in the 8 academic references. Each task should cover 1 lesson only.
