Congratulations
What a cool deal being able to sell
the famous Carol Shelby heritage.
Clubs like Shelby American Automobile Club or Great Lakes Cobra Club are great for Cobra enthusiates.
I myself own a 2003 Mustang Cobra and helped
re-build a 427 Cobra in High School.
I am familar with all the Cobra Sites.
Your site should likely include the following links
to other sites each is a great source of revenue and
free advertizing for your dealership:
Club links, Used Sales, auction, bookstore, models, photos, insurance and titling, parts, buyers guides, events, Freq asked Ques or a forum. Cobra Vacations, Contests.
What I would propose is a asp/.NET based portal solution. ASP whould have to run on a Microsoft Host. Its cheap to design and easy to maintain. PHP would be a choice for a Unix host but the portals are not as flashy, not as easy to design and harder to index for search engines and store content for you.
For me to produce a similar PHP based site it would for sure could add 800.00 to the cost.
You should have a site that lets you easily change
the content yourself without hiring someone. This keeps your site content ever up to date and your
visitors happy.
Brochures, download video easy to do.
Streaming or a live cam might be a phase 2 project
for you because it will add to the scope of this project in cost and complexity but
take it from a geek who is a motorhead also
Whoever you decide to go with
Start with a portal that has easy content management built in the framework.
This sounds like a great project and one I
would be proud to do.
Thanks
