Import file values into MSSQL

I have read through the requirements and am confident of delivering well. I have some queries and need some inputs to be able to assess scope of work precisely. I will then confirm/revise my bid accordingly. I have a file with 2 tabs both with values. [So this is an excel file? can we see the file to know number of fields to be inserted? ] The upload needs to first check the format, columns are correct for that supplier. [ Will this be decided from the supplier mapping table which contains all the detail required for validation? ] After uploading, run some update queries on some of the fields. [Can we have more info on how many queries etc. will be executed] The database is in MSSQL - we need to know the version please Does the server support PHP and can we use PHP for this data import task, or any other language needs to be used? While developing we need fields to be imported, database structure with mappings and any sql that will be executed after the data is imported. And can we have access to live environment while development for testing? I ensure a very thorough job and also ongoing services for any further work.
