There was a small fire and I believe four roofing trusses was partly burned and charred and had smoke damage. A roofing company repaired the damage trusses by connecting wood beans to it and wooded gusset plates. They did not follow a design by a engineer and did not pull a permit. Also they attempted to repair some non fire damage trusses and they put metal screws or nails into the a few metal gusset plates. And used 3 inch screws instead of small screws to attach some two by sixes. Need to find out if his job was done right and if not how do we correct it. In any event most likely will have to pull a permit even if the job was done right to make it legal and maybe testify in court against the roofing contractor. Also the repair was made somebody cut the roofing trusts to install a kitchen range hood
