Hi, I have experience for 15+ years in electronics/embedded development. I have worked with ESP8266 and ESP32 wifi modules in the Arduino IDE/toolchain for several projects. I implemented some while ago a project similar to yours with an ESP8266, an MQTT bridge with modbus RTU devices connected through a serial port in the ESP connected to an RS-485 driver. The ESP implemented a modbus master device and was polling several modbus slave devices (din rail power meters). Data periodically obtained from modbus slaves was sent upstream through MQTT to the broker. MQTT data was sent and received both in raw and also as JSON formatted messages (some data raw and other as JSON - this was a costumer requirement). I also interfaced ESP32 with several OLED displays in SPI and I2C interfaces. I have several ESP32 (and ESP8266) development boards with and without OLED displays were I can connect an RS-485 driver to work on your project. Also, as we are both based in the EU, if needed, you can easily send me your hardware during the course of the project and I'll return it once finished. Your project description is not very clear regarding the scope of work comparing with the PDF attached, but we can discuss and clear doubts regarding that. Hi Mogens B. I'm interested but I have a some questions: What is the exact model of the OLED? Do you have more info/datasheets for the heat meter, power meter and the pump? Do you have a link to your current code to take a look? Schematics? It's not clear to me if for this project you are looking to implement just the Modbus part or the Modbus plus the additional features described in the document. Could you clarify that?
