This position is a weekly bases job and pays every week. Since we are looking to have a long-term relationship with this individual, He/She must go through our hiring process and skill test.
We are looking for an experienced medical researcher to conducts 2-3 research independently. The subject of research is Longevity, Healthy Living, Chronic Diseases, Life after 50, etc.
Here are our Research Quality Criteria:
1. Peer-reviewed and published
2. Well designed (no case studies – only Meta-Analyses, Systematic Reviews, Practice Guidelines, Randomized Controlled Trials, Cohort Studies, and/or Case-Control Studies can be used)
3. Disclosed financial interest showing no conflict of interest, for all authors.
4. Special attention must be given to the differentiation between studies that show a reduction in chronic disease risk or mortality rate compared to the placebo group and those that indicate absence, or near-absence, of chronic disease. The behaviors that eliminate the risk are of extreme importance as they establish the upper levels of the scale we are trying to build/achieve for our patients. An example of this is the fact that dietary patterns consistent with the traditional Mediterranean-style diets with a strong focus on veggies, fruits, fish, wholegrain, olive oil are effective in reducing/delaying the incidents of CAD, but they are not proven to decrease total serum cholesterol, which, when normalized below 155mg/dl can practically eliminate CAD altogether. So, the Mediterranean diet is better than other diets but it is not the best!
5. NOVELTY: Is it groundbreaking? If it’s just yet another study showing “broccoli is good for you”, unless there’s some new unique insight it probably won’t make the cut.
6. PRACTICALITY: Is it practical? Can the information be used to make real-world kitchen or grocery store decisions? Who cares if there’s some new whortleberry with medicinal properties if it can only be foraged wild in the tundra somewhere? For practical purposes, this may not be of importance, but for future purposes, this can be used to commercially produce such item and make it available to the general public at some point.
