I am an international relations major and I have written extensively on issues and problems faced by companies, governments, and cultures engaging in international business activities. I have taken numerous classes on anthropology which looks at the diverse set of principles that govern international monetary exchange: for example, culture, language, politics, economy, education, business, policy, and law. My written essays show not only a strong grasp of the material, they are also an attempt to offer a much more nuanced analysis of complex topics. I am a mature writer, I avoid clichés and euphemisms and rely, instead, on logic and verifiable data. In addition, I have experience readily engaging in classroom debates, challenging others’ assumptions, yet without offending my opponents. My goal is to help my fellow readers. I readily rethink faulty assertions and reframe weak arguments. For 4 months I worked as a constituent services representative for California state assembly member Kevin McCarty where I explained legislation, in written form, to enquiring constituents. I presented a 20 page research paper and original poster to California state policy makers on the opioid epidemic with policy analysis and suggestions. I have also written policy briefs as well as policy position statements. I am a great candidate for this project undertaking.
