Hello. What channel will the device transmit location data to or record geofence settings? Will the cow receive a high voltage discharge if it goes beyond the geofence? To charge such a device from solar panels will not work. Constantly working gps uses battery energy faster than it will charge. The cost and time approximate.

is there a WiFi Internet facility around your farm? Or are you fine to use GPRS based location transmitters? the point is you just don't need a device, but also some visualising application to see and track your cattle. At the minimum you ll need an application which will send you an alarm, by through what channel do you need this alert- this where my first question comes in play again. Do you intend to use GPS fencing coordinates selected through something like Google maps? which will eventually build a boundary you're trying to monitor? let us discuss further and try to understand the full scope, we can go ahead from that point.
