Deamon to Read OBDII via ELM327 Serial adapter and output Data via UDP on Linux The Deamon should have the following specifications : - A passable command line parameter for the com port , eg COM1 , TTYUSB0 etc… - A passable command line parameter for the Baud Rate - Initialize the ELM327 adapter and auto choose protocol - Automatic reconnect if communication is lost - Request which PIDS are supported by the ECU - Poll supported PIDS , decode and Send each value via UDP Datagram - The Datagram must have the following structure : Ident String Value For example: “RPM”,3000 “Speed”,120 “IMAP”, 103 [login to view URL] The Daemon should be written in C or C++ so I can keep the source closed .

Hi! My name is Konstantin. I'm experiences Linux developer. I have a lot of skills in areas of external devices communication, USB and RS232 interfaces, Linux drivers and daemons development, sensors communication, real-time apps and networking. I also have a car with OBDII and corresponding ELM327 adapter, so I can easily debug the app on-site. It would help to estimete the task complexity if you can specify in details how the app is going to select values to send over UDP from full OBDII set? How this should be controlled - the same way using command line, or just read all accessible parameters and send them all? Or IOCTL/IPC to daemon from an additional tool? All the best, Konstantin
