Hello; nearing my retirement, I am switching to online/freelance software development along with my son. I have software development experience of more than 25 years. I have worked in C, C++ and lately Python. Have developed a range of software for various organizations.
I am new in free-lancing therefore I am bidding low (which may not be considered in anyway to commensurate with my experience and knowledge)
I started working in C more than 25 years ago and it remained my mainstay language almost throughout my career. I have developed large-scale systems in C including network applications.
I have developed a limited scale secure coding standard for C language and have run trainings on this subject. For this (and otherwise), I have learnt how vulnerabilities are introduced in applications due to coding issues and ways to mitigate these.
I had developed a cryptographic system in early days, based on (then secure) DES. I know the basics and I think can take on project involving cryptographic primitives or implementation of newer algorithms.
Open SSL; I haven't developed any application using this library (or the standard itself); I have implemented many other systems and I am quite confident I shall be able to do this as well.
