Project for German freelancers only Hello, I need support on the review and optimization of an existing C-software running on a MSP-430. The functionality system includes: - GPS - GSM-Modem - Display - Bluetooth The software running on it was designed by myself with very limited time resources. It has a solid state machine, but some parts are hacked. The software is now running on about 150 devices in the field and there is some undefined behaviour that needs to be fixed. The task would be to: 0. Understand the program flow and intended functionality 1. Review of the code and definition of a structure for a proper rebuild based on existing code. It is currently interrupt based and it might make sense to switch to a BIOS. 2. Implementation of the code incl. proper documentation I would provide all necessary hardware ad software to do the job. Very good knowledge in C and embedded programming is necessary. Knowledge of TI-MSP430 is a plus. Basic knowledge in electronic circuits is needed.

Hello, I have initially worked as a software engineer in a telecom company developing software for specialzed hardware (telephone exchanges). I had always had passion playing/building/making electronics Although I am new to freelancer, I got involved into various embedded programming projects ranging from self standing robot toys to sensors and dataloggers. Hello I have been designing embedded system for over 10 years using c and c++. I would first want to look over the code and see how the structure has been done. Using interrupts should be fine as long as they are done correctly. Otherwise you can end up with hard to find bugs.
