DA8620 to Raspberry Pi

A few photos of my last job ( carrierboard IEC 61000-compliant for a Medical Equipment): [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] About your project: Raspberry Pi Model 3 B+ has 3 video ports: HDMI, Propietary DSI and 24bits TTL RGB. The display that you want to use doesn't support any of these interfaces, it use an 8 bits parallel interface compatible with 8080 or 6800 modes. It's possible to connect this display to RPi but you should understand that: 1) You can develop an application to send video data to GPIO but it will NOT work as a framebuffer, any other app or driver will not be able to send video data to display. 2) You can develop a custom linux framebuffer driver: any app on root file system will be able to send video data but it will not use Processor VPU (Video processor) because you will be using a hardware interface not supported by VPU, the main processor will be loaded with all the video processing (a really bad thing). 3) Use an intermediary hardware to convert RPi TTL RGB to 8080 interface: video will be processed by VPU but this solution is complex and very expensive. 4) Find another display with TTL RGB interface or LVDS. I am pursuing electronics degree and i have done similar project in my university which you can see in my PORTFOLIO .The only difference is different displays that i used and of course it is on bread board. i would have not applied on project if wouldn't be able to do it.
