Hello
I am powerfully drawn to your project. It evokes the brilliance of Peter Shaffer’s “Amadeus”, and the miracle Milos Forman worked with it.
I am a highly creative, experienced and accomplished music composer and screenwriter. Telling profound, moving, inspiring stories with music is what I do. I progressed from creating musical films to crafting cinematic opera, and now opera for the stage.
I am so very interested to discuss your project. I can offer you a script of quality, depth and substance, and original music beautiful and powerful beyond words to convey.
I would hope to tell Rudolf Nureyev’s story with clarity, understanding, insight, wisdom, care and great power. We see two massive, opposing forces in his life: The inner force of genius and a strong, free spirit yearning to express and share itself, and the forces of conformity – in his early life, to be ‘a man’; in the world of dance, to honour the norms; in society, to be acceptable.
This conflict encapsulates much of the essence of his life - his strong, magnetic, brilliant inner nature within a world demanding conformity.
Genius is often non-conformist. It knows its own mind and heart with such clarity and passion it cannot be repressed.
Was his life heroic or tragic? We may craft a tale of such compelling power as to evoke awe, reverence and respect for who he was, and what he gave to life.
I shall write a synopsis. By when, and where, must I submit this?
We can discuss the fee and time-frame.
Thank you
