Main pages for insurance web site

To begin with (though there are _many_ more articles to follow), I am looking for serious, experienced authors, with excellent written English and good internet research skills, to write nine, unique, one page articles for my insurance website using the keywords, and related phrases, that I will provide. ## Deliverables I prefer bids only from those whose FIRST language is English. If English is your SECOND language, you are HIGHLY CAUTIONED _against_ bidding. Most likely, in that case, your writing will not be what I’m looking for (unless you’ve lived and studied in the U.S. for several years or something similar). Your writing MUST be of grammatical, structural and logical _quality_, commensurate with written American English in a professional journal, even though the _style_ preferred is more conversational. The writing style should be _clear_, creative and informative. You should have some experience writing articles that are intended to “pre-sell?? Internet visitors on the products offered by the web site on which the articles appear. Eight of the nine articles are for the 8 main product pages of my site; they will be about the subject pointed to by the headline and keywords, and must pre-sell the reader, on the _benefits_ of the _product_ discussed in the article, making him want to click on the merchant links, which, on the completed site, will appear at the bottom of the article (hence the need for pre-selling). The ninth article is for the home page and will be about the web site itself. It must use the subject of the headline and keywords to pre-sell the reader on the _benefits_ of the _web site_, rather than the benefits of the product to which the keywords themselves point (I’ll discuss this more extensively with the winning bidder). Each article should be no fewer than 300 words minimum nor greater than 450 words maximum (give or take a few). All articles must _vary_ in length between those two extents. Writing all the articles with the bare minimum word count (300) is _not_ acceptable. A couple of the articles should be 300 words, a couple should be 450 words and the rest, in between, of varying lengths. I will provide the following for each article: * Article headline (1) * Primary keyword phrase (1) * Secondary keyword phrases (2) * Single word variations (8) * Tertiary keywords (5) * Text file template (to be reused for each article) The article must be written to conform to the theme of the headline, using the keywords as follows: * The primary keyword phrase must be used once in the first paragraph only (no where else in the article). * The secondary keyword phrase must be used once in the first _or_ second paragraph (no where else in the article). * Word variations must be used multiple times, throughout the article, so as to create an overall word frequency of 8% to 12% (e.g. a 400 word article would require the eight variations to be used _a total_ of 32 to 48 times in the article (400 x 8% = 32, 400 x 12% = 48) so, in this example, each variation word would have to be used 4 to 6 times in the article (32/8 = 4, 48/8 = 6). This will require a little planning on your part. If this is confusing, please question it. * One or two tertiary keywords should be inserted where ever they may naturally fit into the flow of text _if possible_ (not using at least one is undesirable but still acceptable). Just keep them in mind while writing and fit a couple in where ever possible. I don’t expect all five to be used in an article. The articles MUST be written in a text editor (_not_ in a word processor and subsequently exported as a text file). Word processors leave artifacts behind, even when saving files as text. If I find such (and I _will_ look), I will request a rewrite. You must use the text file template for each article. The template will contain several word codes at the top, which must not be changed or moved. You will enter the filename next to the #FILENAME word code, in the space indicated by overwriting the phrase: “[login to view URL]? and then write the article below that (in the place indicated). When the article is complete, you will save the file, using, as the title, the primary keyword (all in lower-case), separated by dashes (e.g. [login to view URL]). Article paragraphs should be no longer than three sentences. Sentences, in general, should not be longer than about 20 words (longer sentences are acceptable but should be the exception, rather than the rule). The aim is for short paragraphs that can be easily scanned by the web site visitor, rather than big blocks of text that will intimidate him (like the ones in this bid-request :-) ). Articles should involve and intrigue the reader, making him want more. The goal is to create compelling, relevant and _informative_ articles, which impart information about the subject, to the reader, in such a way that he is excited to know more; in other words, very good content. All articles MUST be completely your own original work and may not be paraphrased or taken (in whole or in part) from any work to which you do not have full copy rights. You must not reuse text, written for one article, in a subsequent article. I will accept the bid of the author whom I judge to be most capable of carrying out the above tasks (based on the bid and a review of the submitted sample), who also bids most competitively (in that order). Therefore between two bidders of unequal skill, the greater skill wins, no matter the bid; between two bidders of equal skill, the lower bid wins. **Writer/Bidder Requirements** Please include, with your bid, a sample of your writing, of a similar type and length of article, if possible. Bids without samples will be declined. I am looking to form long term relationships with the right authors (I’ll need at least 200 more articles for this site alone). However, before doing so, I want to have an idea of your writing skills, and your ability to evenly and effectively integrate words and phrases, throughout an article, while still keeping a good conversational and informative style. **In summary** 1. The articles you write for me may not be re-sold, re-distributed or re-used in any way, in whole or in part. For confidentiality reasons, the successful bidder is not allowed to communicate this assignment (including the articles delivered) to unrelated parties without my express consent. 2. Articles should be submitted as individual text files without formatting. Just line breaks between paragraphs. When submitting articles, a zipped file containing any or all of the article files is the preferred method. 3. The files must be named after the keywords (with dashes instead of spaces, if the keyword consists of multiple words (e.g. [login to view URL])) 4. To avoid rewrite requests, please check your _spelling and grammar_ before submitting articles. For example, please avoid using the words _get_, _got_ and _like_ incorrectly. Like, ya know? :-) 5. The nine articles must be submitted within 20 days, or less, of acceptance of the bid. 6. I will review and approve all documents to ensure they meet project specs. I may ask for the article(s) to be edited, if I am not satisfied with the work delivered. 7. Articles are considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
