I received my BA in Communications & Culture from Howard University in Washington, DC. In addition, I have worked in the fields of government, law, and communications. While working in these fields I have operated in several capacities, in which I have not only gained, but also further enhanced the necessary skills that will allow me to be a successful virtual assistant. These capacities include, but are not limited to;
(1) As an Insurance Coverage Paralegal I was in constant communication with high level clients in an effort to establish next steps in the litigation process or simply to procure documents in the discovery stage. In addition, I led all aspects of litigation support for insurance carriers such as multinational insurance giant American International Group, Inc. with representation in suits involving: (1) Asbestos, DES, silica, lead paint, Fen-phen, solvents, and other mass tort substances, (2) Environmental issues, (3) Occupational disease, (4) Construction defects, (5) Healthcare related matters, and (6) Concussion litigation involving national sports leagues.
(5) During my time at United States Congress as a Legislative & Communications Liaison Intern I reviewed and researched legislative and policy initiatives that had an impact district wide as well as on a national level relating to immigration, homeland security, international cooperation with North and South American nations, education, and healthcare.
