Hi Bobbi First off, I'd love to take a look at your poem - I had a look on the Colorism site but I only found a list of names. I read the summary of your book with great interest and I'd love to take a look at a sample and discuss the project in a bit more detail. I've been an independent editor for several years. I started off doing it part time, alongside my career as a lecturer in English and Creative Writing. Then, demand increased and I have now found myself doing more of this than the lecturing - which I now do on a guest basis. I don't think I'll stop entirely though - like you, I've spent a long time in education and am passionate about it. I've worked on a range of genres; I recently edited a novel about a young African-American woman who finds herself transported back in time to 19th Century America and is forced to live as a slave.
