Design of a strong lockable housing for an electronic device. on any bike

I feel you could've simplified the brief a bit as it took me quite some time to understand it properly. to make sure we are on the same page, you need a device that can be mounted on a metal rod of bike and is able to attach a plastic box with a lock that will be released with electronic key. is that right? Hi, Being a Mechanical engineer, I have understood your project well. We will have to use some mechanisms for the purposes. similarly for this locking system, we will use some mechanism. Also we will do some simulation for that just to check how much force is required to break the lock or mechanism. If any failure occurs, we can optimize the result. I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - i will need some basic drawings/sketches to see how you envision the locker... 2 - the enclosure for the locking mechanism should be metallic in order to meet all your criteria (especially vandal proof), but for the prototype will be good enough the abs, and i strongly recommend to go with the prototype in the first place and just after you'll test the device (and see what's to improve, modify, change) to pursue the manufacturing process 3 - as for design, there are possible multiple approaches, so the is to be discussed 4 - also you should be aware that maybe not all the requirement you ask for could be fulfilled and maybe necessary to make a compromise, so you will need to prioritize the features you whish to be implemented...
