Machine Operation
Design a cascade circuit for a production machine to make light aluminium components which need to have a hole punched, the component is to be clamped with a force of 2 kN and the hole punched with a force 10 kN and then is to be ejected by a 25mm diameter cylinder which has a stroke of 200mm in 1 sec. The clamp cylinder has a 300mm stroke and is to clamp in 1 sec. The punch cylinder travels at 200 mm / sec and is 400 mm long. The punch is to dwell for 1 second at end of punch before retracting. The products are to be feed from a magazine which will indicate when there are no more to be punched. When the job is ejected it drops down a shoot which indicates that it is clear from punch and when the ejection cylinder is fully retracted the next job is then be punched. This machine is to have Single / Auto Start and it is to have interlocked guards on front. The single start is to be safety started and the guards may be bypassed during this operation to allow adjustments during setup.
