Logo for Small Colombian Restaurant

My wife and I are few days from opening a small eatery in Ohio, USA called Arepas & Co. This establishment will be known for its homemade Colombian comfort foods and superior loyal customer service. If you are unaware, Arepas are described as cornmeal toasted discs that can be split to fill with different meats, beans, cheese, etc. Arepas are crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. My storefront will be designed to reflect the street vendors of Colombia (old, run down but colorful and cheerful). My menu is very simple. We are going to be as "green" as possible in every aspect of the business. So, what we need is a logo for the Arepas & Co. The "Co" part of the name refers to everything else we will offer with the arepas such as patacones, mazorca, desserts, etc and not to the corporate entitiy under which is constituted. In other words, Arepas are our main menu item and the "Co" exists so that over time we can add to my menu of Arepas an Beverages. Please not corporate-like logos. Would you be interested in assisting us? The following are some of the thoughts we would like our designer to consider: *If posible we would like the logo to somehow incorporate the colors of the Colombian flag but not to be the main colors; instead, we would like to see some bold colors associated with food such as orange, green and brown. Green is associated with freshness, organic, nature and ecological; orange is associated with energetic and youthfulness and brown is associated with earth and tradition. If you find a way to discreetly include the colors of the colombian flag all together (like a flag) then that would be great but not necessary. * We want the logo to be a blend that reflects our modern lives but that also bring back some nostalgia, memories from when the food used to be handcrafted by grandma. Logo needs to be "social media friendly" (FB, twitter, etc) * Avoid using fonts that are associated with carnivals, festivals, sport teams, corporations, etc. * Logo needs to be easily converted to black and white so it can be printed on black t-shirts * Our food is fast, simple but flavorful so the logo would need to reflect that. * We are also planning to do a very simple menu so we can talk about that after we get the logo finished. If possible we would like to see 3 to 5 samples based on your interpretation of our thoughts. We suggest that our designer have an understanding of south american foods and what a dining experience can be at a south american restaurant. We will appreciate working with a desiger with great levels of communication and that can bring some creative work with him/her. Logos that look like they were made using clipart from word/publisher will not be considered. We look forward to working with you.
