We are a team of 3 MBA students working on a social media application focused on recommendations around different topics (i.e., restaurants & bars, movies & shows, and books). We want to design an app that mixes the engaging nature of social media (i.e, an app that makes you want to be online looking at what your friends are recommending), with the trust that comes from getting recommendations from your friends, family, and closest network. To achieve that purpose, the visual design should deliver our theme (recommendations/social media) on a desirable and stylized manner. For this specific project, we will be testing the app at Harvard Business school (that means we are targeting ~500 downloads). Attached is a Power Point file with some detail and a rough draft of the pages depicting what we directionally have in mind for the app. This attached file should serve as a guide for what we want, however nobody in the team is a designer or has experience in a related area, thus all input from designers is encouraged to make the end product easy to use and pleasing look at.
