We are seeking an independent film production company logo and identity branding. SENSORIUM Pictures engages in the whole creative picture- screenwriting, production and post-production. Sensorium has become known as a company that delivers work with strong storylines, engaging characters, and aesthetic innovation. People like to work with us and most importantly, we like to work with them. It's all about the people, people.
While creating immersive and entertaining films, Sensorium Pictures also strives to remain socially relevant. Our films are meant to challenge, provoke, and inspire the ideas and thoughts of our viewers. For the audience to walk away feeling something, empathizing with our characters, broadening their minds, and wanting to spread the word so that the film is profitable- that is the goal. We are looking for a static logo, with a social media package option (i.e. shortened to initials for profile pictures, etc), as well as a color palette for branding and any design elements we can incorporate from website to social media. We will request the full psd/illustrator files so we can alter for future use, and will need both a black and white background version. Anyone that submits should also include a general pitch. Completion of initial work within 30 days of hire. We are creatives and will want to be involved in the process, but are easy to work with and believe in being very collaborative.
SENSORIUM: the parts of the brain or the mind concerned with the reception and interpretation of sensory stimuli; broadly : the entire sensory apparatus. A part of the brain or the brain itself regarded as the seat of sensation. 1640s, "seat of the soul" in the brain. It has come to refer to the total character of the unique and changing sensory environments perceived by individuals. These include the sensation, perception, and interpretation of information about the world around us by using faculties of the mind such as senses, phenomenal and psychological perception, cognition, and intelligence.
We are drawn to watercolors, ink, illustrations. We don't want something excessively formal, but do want something that says we are a serious company - and very importantly that we are artists. In addition, we don't want to take a literal translation of the name SENSORIUM, but the logo should reflect the meaning in some way - even color palette. The logo does not have to include "Pictures" - in title. But it would be nice to have a version of both.
We are not married to it completely, but we thought snakes as a design element (even abstract) could be a representation of senses/us: (If you have other ideas however, feel free to take a different direction!)

Snakes have used their astonishing senses to become formidable predators. Widespread- they dwell in most habitats." (We are genre ranging). Along with the main five senses, snakes have a sixth sense- the ability to sense the heat of other creatures. (This translates to our ability to capture emotion)
