A design produced by a graphic designer using photoshop or similar softwares would create problem in laser cutting, hence most of the parts for laser cutting are done on CAD softwares instead. I can complete this project using Solidworks and have past experience of designing products for laser cutting. Please send a message to discuss more and provide more details on the signage.

I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - if you'll use graphic designing will get a flat impression of the model on the coin... 2 - you actually need a parametric modeling in 3d of the coin, scaled up to desired dimension (which is more than 1m in diameter), with all the details 3 - even you required for dxf file, i think that step or iges is more appropriate if you want to have the model cnc carved 4 - the price and time frame is for one side of the coin, not for both...(we should discuss/negotiate if you need/want both sides modeled) Regards Bogdan

Hello... Your project sounds really cool! I can do this project for you, and even produce the final physical sign for you and ship it to your doorstep. You mention DXF format, but depending on your requirements, that might not be the best format to use depending on what the final output machine is that will be used. If it is a laser cutter or CNC machine, other formats might give you a smoother result without faceting, as happens sometimes with DXF. I'm in the US (San Francisco Bay Area), and we have our own laser cutters and various CNC equipment in our shop, as well as tons of design software needed for projects like this. I also have keys to Jamie Hyneman's shop (co-host of MythBusters) if I need to do larger fabrication (and sometimes his creative input). My price is going to be higher than folks from outside the US, but I can provide you with full design and production for your project. Of course, we will communicate with each other at each step, to be sure we are on track with exactly what you have in mind. Do you want more than you have mentioned in your post? Maybe two-sided, maybe multiple copies of the sign in different sizes, maybe tastefully lit or animated versions of the sign? We can also make other products based on your design such as beer glass coasters, other laser-etched stuff, whatever you can dream up! Please consider my services for this awesome project.
