Women’s Safety XPRIZE

Hi, my name is Tomas Storheim and I am a ceo/founder of an international consortium of independent individuals/companies in the advertising, media and creative content industry. We call ourselves Appsring. You can read more about us here: [login to view URL] Since the 1st of January 2017 some of us have been focusing on The Anu & Naveen Jain Women’s Safety XPRIZE challenge. [login to view URL] Or [login to view URL] In fact we think we have a fair chance of winning this exciting competition. In short, what we are planning to make is a smart wristband phone with extreme emphasis on health, safety and signal strength, accompanied with an application for both the wristband and the mobile phone. The name of our solution is IDAAR, which is also going to be the name of the company. IDAAR stands for “Intelligent Distress Alert And Rescue”. Project status at this point is almost at the programming stage where most of the concept and application design is ready (final design cycle), among other things. We have a very strong team when it comes to electronic and software engineering. However I feel that we still need to strengthen our creative design department. This is where you come in. Below are some of work that you will need to be eligible for if you choose to accept my offer. (random order) 1. Collaborate with me who is the lead designer among other things. (have many hats) on UI app design and features. 2. Assist with Work on trademark merchandise design. T-shirts, pens, cups, hats, packaging, Corporate identity etc. 3. Assist on 3d modeling of additional hardware we are planning to lunch together with our wristband. mini keyboard, augmented reality glasses, hands-free devices etc. YES we are ambitious. 4. Assist with marketing video production. After effects, Maya, 3ds max. 5. 2D animate UI elements so the programming team will know exactly what is expected from them. Knowledge in After effects or equivalent is required. Prior knowledge in app UI animation is preferred but if you feel comfortable with 2d animation of various elements and how they interact than that should be sufficient. 6. I use Fireworks. I would like you to convert designs from fireworks to PS or IL. This will be most likely done together with others on the team. 7. Until now I have only been doing UI design for the phone. We will also be looking at iPad and other formats. Perhaps some simplification in some cases. That was a summary of work expected from you now what about your compensation? First of all, everyone involved on Idaar pulls in his/her own knowledge and resources into the project. This means that everyone currently involved, work purely on “no cure-no pay bases”. However, if we win, then your position will be compensated with 25 000 USD (one-time payment) + the possibility for further engagement with our company and maybe even a small percentage of it. We will see. 25 000 USD will definitely be a good start. This amount will be payable June 2018. Now what happens if we don’t win? The project will still be developed. We will just need to use other channels to make it happen. By that time, we should already have a prototype which will undoubtedly help us getting proper sponsorship. Please know that there is not such thing as certainty in this business, there is only a possibility that things will turn in our favor. So before you hit that accept button consider the possibility that you will not get payed at all. Which means that this project is not for everyone I understand, but the greater the risk, the greater the reward.
