Description:
We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer for an ongoing project. We’ve built a sketchbook for Musicians which works as a visual composer for music making software such as Ableton. The app essentially has basic tools of Adobe illustrator like drawing pen and line/circle/square shapes. The shapes can be patched to a sound chosen by the user. The project is built with Javascript(ES6+), CSS-Preprocessor/SASS, Automation/Gulp, Node.js, and JS libraries [login to view URL] and [login to view URL](for interaction). Skill set required:
HTML/CSS, Javascript(ES6+), CSS Preprocessor/SASS, Automation/Gulp, Node.js, Version Control/Git, AJAX, Firebase rules, Responsive design, Testing/Debugging.
Required software and general proficiency:
1. Recent Javascript knowledge and Experience is very important in this case, along with some experience in popular javascript libraries for interactions such as [login to view URL], [login to view URL], to make a client side app.
2. Knowledge and Experience in building full scale webapps.
3. Sensibilities towards Form and Design is a plus+ but, experience with tools such as illustrator is a must to implement the features and interactions in a right way.
4. The candidate needs to have knowledge in music. The candidate should have the know how of algorithmic sound as well.
Project Scope & Deliverables:
While many of the core functionalities have been implemented. we still need additional support to help us polish our application and meet our deadline in around 2 months.
We will need the following deliverables:
#1: The UI/UX Wireframes are ready and, the wireframes need to be implemented. UI Layout has drag-drop interfaces and dynamic layouts.
#2: Improve PaperJS Interactions by adding missing features.
#3: Complete Saving/Loading Feature.
#4: Add a new Composition timeline.
#5: Package into library and complete with documentation.
