In my last assignment, I was selling CRM/Software solution to hospitals/clinics/government departments. In an earlier project, I was with a North American Software product firm as their Director - Marketing & Business Development (Contract basis). I was responsible for overall lead generation through various channels, both online/digital and traditional ones. Email campaigns was a prime channel which I used successfully, for lead generation, in a very difficult & competitive market.
Beyond this, all through my 13 years of experience, I have done business development through every possible channel both in North America & Europe. I have done tele-sales extensively within B2B environment and always found it interesting! Even though in my 15+ years of experience I got to a senior marketing strategist profile, I always made sure to spend sometime in client interaction and b2b pitching. This gives an insight into client response, pain points with pitch/product features etc.
I started with BPO's selling telephone calling plans, broadband connection, among other things mostly to UK/US clients. Later, worked as an Inside Sales executive for IT services company and went on to head the direct marketing function for Europe geography at another Tier I IT company. I have firsthand experience in leading as well as executing campaign activities - webinars, email campaigns, events, digital/online initiatives, thought leadership based etc.
