With the Freelancer API - they have a service call background removal. I want to make a mac app which sits in the status bar up near the time, and lets me drag and drop in an image and returns the image from the service. Flow: - Login with freelancer account on first launch/install - Always have the status bar icon next to the wifi, bluetooth, etc - When you click on the icon, a little bubble appears with a drag and drop region - Dropping in an image automatically buys the service - Polls the chat for any uploaded files - Shows notification to download the image when done Here is the service: https://www.freelancer.com/services/Remove-background-from-a-photo-56758.html Here is the API documentation: [login to view URL] I guess native would be better, but would also be happy with javascript wrapped in electron or similar.

I will code this program in java 8 and javafx for user interface. The http polling would be done using okhttp library. Applicaton would run in the background and will be fairly lightweight.
