This application will have 2 parts, with the first (1) is required, and the second (2) only to be done if time/budget permits.
1) A simple soundboard application with 16 buttons (4x4 grid), which play a different sound when each button is pressed. I have the sound files, and know enough about java programming myself to insert the correct sound files when the project is complete, use placeholders for now. I will also implement all the graphics.
A short 5 second intro screen with a placeholder full screen image (which I will also replace later on) would be good aswell.
2) The application will have a function to record a sequence of the sound that are played, and then play then back, and have the option to save as ringtone/notification tone.
E.G, user presses Record, then sound A, sound B, sound C, then stops recording, user then presses play, and it will play back Sound A, Sound B, Sound C, in the order they were recorded. The recorded sound file should be able to be played back until the user decides to record another sequence of sounds. Until then it should have the option to be saved as an .mp3 (or any common filetype) and set as a ringtone/notification tone from within the application.
