Help with implementing websockets into NodeJS project

We are building a trading project that will serve several users at once. Our database is MongoDB and backend is an Express Node app.

We need some features implemented and some bugs fixed that can only be done using sockets.

Help us fix bugs in our project and at the create a demo project together whilst explaining how the sockets function.

The demo project should have something like:

2-3 users from mongodb.

a. How and when to keep a websocket open for every user in the DB.

b. Access the data from the websocket

c. Close socket when required.
