A new type of Umbrella (requiring a novel mechanical solution)

I need assistance in building a prototype for the following idea. This includes designing the mechanical solution for the product to work, all the way to physically building the first prototype. Some initial ideas in the form of 3D CAD models can be provided however the idea is to come up with completely new and better solutions. The product is: an umbrella that can be easily integrated into a belt that is worn by someone. So a product that combines the functions of a belt and umbrella into one, where an elegant mechanical solution should allow for the transition between the two. Basically if you imagine a person wearing a belt, he/she should be able to take out, deploy and then again re-insert the umbrella from the belt whenever needed (the belt itself always stays on). You can imagine the umbrella as being an additional layer to the belt, but when it is taken out from the belt (almost like a sword from it's case) it functions like a 'normal' umbrella - until it again get re-inserted into the belt. In a way I want to build an umbrella that can bend around someone's waist but also be sturdy like a normal umbrella when deployed, with minimal adjustment in between (perhaps by twisting or pushing something in the handle - the mechanical mechanism should be as simple as possible). Also it would have to be in the cross section of a belt so that it would look like, as mentioned, an additional layer to the belt (yes it will make the belt a bit fatter on the sides but I hope by no more than 1-2 cm; and the front of the belt would remain unchanged.) If interested, much more detail about the specifics of the prototype will be provided. Clearly, there are numerous other criteria that the product must fulfill to be functional.
