Our Goal
We want to create an app that records in HD video using a persons mobile phone. The video will have the users ID code embedded in it somehow.
We want to make sure the person in the video is the same person that uploads the video. We do not want people grabbing video's from the internet and uploading and saying it is them when it is not.
How it should work
A person opens the app and logs in. Once logged in, they can view previous uploaded videos and also can delete previous video's. They can also upload new video's. They can also press record and create a new video. It would be nice if saved videos are saved to possibly a hidden directory on the users phone? This will stop people from grabbing any video off the internet and putting it in this folder for upload. If the video does not have the users ID embedded in it, our servers should reject it.
When a video is uploaded, the video should have the users ID embedded in the video encoding if possible.
Conclusion
So a user registered on our website with their username. When they go to the app, they login with the username and when they press record, the video starts recording. When they press stop, it asks them to provide a title for the video and then click save. When it saves, it encodes the persons username in the video somehow and saves to their phone in a hidden directory. it is also uploaded to our servers. Our servers will check the video for the username and if username is not in our database, it will be rejected. If it is in our database, it will be accepted and video will be uploaded and attached to the users video gallery on our website.
