KCW sells a case management database called Prime. Prime stores its data in a SQL Database and uses Access as a front end. Prime allows a user to log on using their staff # and a password that are stored within the Database. Within Prime, users can enter the time they spend on cases or other issues. Users can enter calendar items regarding cases or other issues. They can also view their existing entries. KCW desires an Android and iOS app that will utilize the same capabilities, allowing a user to log in using their staff # and a password, add/view time items, and add/view calendar items. The app would also have a setup function allowing the entry of database details (web API). The entry of time and calendar items will display the user’s assigned cases within the system, allowing time and calendar items to be associated with those cases. The developer will build a .NET API using Visual Basic to provide access to the app to appropriate tables within the database, together with an app built using Visual Studio 2017. The API and app will both utilize logon methods to ensure the security of the database and the application.
