We, Limelight, are a mobile events platform (currently on iOS and Android) that allows users (event hosts) to create events. These events are the automatically shared in real time with other users (event seekers) through our live feed. Moreover, every event on Limelight is fully interactive, allowing event hosts to engage directly with event seekers while allowing event seekers to interact with other like-minded people. Essentially, Limelight is an interactive, localised (or wider) feed of what's going on around the user in real time. Our platform has been particularly popular on university campuses since launch (where we noticed a large concentration of students in a small area with a large number of events and activities taking place at any given point). With exciting times ahead, we are now looking to evolve our product.
We already have the application source code written in Objective-C (for the iOS binary) and in Java (for the Android binary), as well as all the resources used by the applications.
To improve deployment speeds and the maintainability of the code, we would like your help in porting the code over to Xamarin [C#]. You will not have to waste time designing how everything looks from scratch as you will be provided with all the assets used in the current applications and you will just have to recreate the same UI interface used in them. The application uses the backendless api (for its backend) which also provides an Xamarin compatible library [[login to view URL]] so there should be no issues or surprises when porting the code over.
