$30-99 USD

[url removed, login to view] creates **video tutorials** for various topics such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Access, Photoshop, Visual Basic, ASP, and so on. Our video tutorials play on the user's computer screen.
As a supplement to our video courses, we also offer printed or printable (PDF) handbooks that go along with our courses. The video courses themselves are generally about an hour in length. So far, we have printable manuals for about half of them, and they range in size from 30 to 100 pages - depending on the content.
**We are looking for someone with good technical AND writing skills to continue development on our handbooks for us.** While we plan to continue to develop all of the video tutorials in-house, the writing of the companion manuals is a task we would prefer to outsource.
We are seeking a programmer for this task, because a lot of our tutorials deal with Visual Basic, ASP, Microsoft Access, Excel, and other advanced topics. An average computer user would not be able to write these manuals.
Essentially, you would watch the video (pausing as needed). Type up a synopsis of what was just discussed (not necessarily word for word - but enough so the reader can follow along). Include a screen shot of the image from the video, and include any comments as needed. Again, you need some understanding of the material presented.
The attached ZIP file includes a copy of our Microsoft Access 101 course, along with the companion handbook we developed for it - to give you a feeling for what we're looking for. If you would like additional samples, please contact me.
**This SPECIFIC bid request is for ONE handbook; specifically our VISUAL BASIC 101 handbook.** The video course is 69 minutes long.
Other handbook projects will be awarded as separate projects.
## Deliverables
1) Completed manual in Microsoft Word format using the template we provide. Must have proper spelling, grammar, and cover all topics discussed in the video.
2) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
We will provide you with a template handbook document in Microsoft Word that you can work with (includes the cover page, styles, etc.).
On average, it takes me 2 to 3 hours to complete one of these manuals. It's not difficult work, but I would rather spend my time developing new courses. This is why I wish to outsource the project. My in-house staff does not have the technical knowledge necessary to write these.
There will be many more of these handbooks to complete, once we have accepted a coder for this project.
Again, I cannot emphasize enough that we need someone with **EXCELLENT** English, grammar, and writing skills.

Greetings. I just wanted to let you know that I still have not yet chosen someone for this job yet because I was out of town for a couple of weeks. I just reactivated the bid request.
To help me make my decision easier, if you would kindly (please) submit something you have written in the past (tech manual, article, etc.) that would be outstanding. For writing a manual such as this, you have to have a good understanding of the material, but more importantly EXCELLENT writing skills.
Also, if you would care to update your bid at all, please do so now. I will be making a decision in the next day or two. Thank you!

## Platform
Platform: right now all of our videos are designed for PC systems (Windows 98 or higher). We do plan to add Mac tutorials next year, but don't worry about that for now.
