Programmers (**read attached pdf file) Here is my Project Description for the adding a News Publishing/CMS and Affiliate/Business Opportunity to www.nextlevelrecruits.com. Please, go to the web site and take a look around. This site is turnkey, its already complete as you can see. Take a look around, it's a real simple CMS that they used for the site. The site is a "High School Sports" marketing site for student athletes. Here athletes can market them selves to college coaches around the USA. Students can upload their profile, video, stats, etc, etc; and have their profile, emailed to a college coach that they select. Athletes pay a "fee" to use the services that Next Level Recruits offers. This fee can be monthly, or annual or subscription. The fee allows them to select only a certain amount of coaches, that they may send their profile to. Please go to the site, and read the FAQ if you have any other questions. This web site or the core, will be the engine for the "New" Next Level Recruits. I am looking at building a service or business opportunity for "Entreprenuer's" or Local Coaches, Scouts or anyone, that is already recruiting or would like their own "territory" or "affiliate" in their town, city or state. The Project Description: Is what I am trying to accomplish is offering an "affiliate" business opportunity for coaches, athletes or business minded individuals, that would like to have a recruiting business. As you can see on my current site, I offer that already. But I was looking to create sub-domains of individual affiliate sites. These sites would be "news" or magazine style type sites. These sites would be "subscription" based sites, that allows the affiliates to sign up recruits on their affiliate site, pay for it their. Affiliates would be given a "discount" code. Once an athlete signs up on their affiliate site, the athlete would get the "discount" code to sign up on the main site. (Or have it linked to the main site?) Sites would be a "local" connection for recruiters to write stories, interview athletes, have contributing journalists, but "locally". Athletes love to read about them selves, even though they dont admit it. Think Locally, not Globally. These affiliate sites would look something like at [login to view URL], their demo, something simple, but yet Web 2.0 and modern. This CMS I am researching as well, but it is not multi-site. (Support not so hot so far, forums are okay.) But they have a simple template and news style that I was going for. A simple re-useable template that each "affiliate" would have, and just "upload" a graphic, logo or local heading. (Maybe have 3 templates for affiliates to choose from) Affiliates could then do the following, Write or Add Articles, Get Site Advertising/Banner Management Locally, Add RSS Feeds from Local Papers or media organization (to get them started, and to create fresh content for non-writers), Forums (not sure if have them locally or have just 1 for all affiliates), Allow Authorized users access to their "local" affiliate to write or upload articles, Video (like pasting html from Yahoo or You Tube), Top 10 Polls (polls that let users or admin rank certain teams, or Top 10 Football teams in a affiliates area), Gallery, and of course sign up athletes. Could use sub-domains to put the CMS/News Publishing/Affiliate areas. ([login to view URL]) From here, Next Level Recruits would have a "national" news sub-domain for News. Here all News, stories and articles from all Next Level Recruit affiliates would "feed" or RSS fed into the national site. Pretty simple here, would work the same as an affiliate site, but managed by me. (http://news.nextlevelrecruits.com.) I would also have a "intranet" or affiliate only area, where Affiliates would log-in, and their would be News, Training, Weekly Chats, Uploaded Pdf files, Marketing Information, etc, etc. Nothing more than most Intranet products offer. As for me, the owner of Next Level Recruits. I will be offering a "service". More like a web host in a way. The pricing structure will be set for ALL affiliates and NLR packages. We have 3 packages to offer. Affiliates get 100% of the Packages pricing, but pay me a monthly "hosting" fee, for their affiliate site. Also, I offer "Sports Editing" for video. Athletes will be able to sign up for this seperately. For now, "Sports Editing" is not in use at this time, but will be. I am not looking to change Next Level Recruits ([login to view URL]) The code and everything would stay where it is, as is. I was thinking that we would change the MENU bar to add MAGAZINE/NEWS and AFFILIATES (links), and these would go sub-domain. But then again, I am not sure on changing hosts and or the requirements for the CMS/News module that we would add. Change News on the front page to "Corporate News". Also, looking to upgrade the Video player to a "flash" video player. Any new video would be uploaded through the control panel. (current host [login to view URL]) So our goal is to find an easy to use CMS/News Publishing program that will be able to make our site have a network of Affiliate sites that sell our services. There is many cost effective applications out on the market place. We will be looking for these executibles from programmer: Progammer Executibles: 1. Deliver Easy to use CMS/News Publishing mulit-site application and present to me, and be approved before using for project. A) CMS/News Publishing multi-site application must have the following: News Publishing, Easy to Use, Subscriptions, Security, User Management, Advertising/Banner Management, RSS/Content Syndication, News Feed Agrigator, Forum/Discussion, SEO Friendly, Admin Management. B) CMS/News Publishing application should allow ADMIN (me) to set-up an affiliate site in minutes. All ready to go, just throw up the template and put in affiliate information, then go. ** Programmer please note. C) CMS/News Publishing application must be easy for Affiliates to use. For the most part, these users will not have much in html or computer knowledge. They will only be able to write articles, control user areas, upload ad banners. D) CMS/News Publishing application for affiliate's subscription area - Once local recruiter/affiliate has a athlete that pays on their (affiliate) site, athlete will get a discount code, and send them to the main ([login to view URL]) signup area. ** Note, programmer will have access to all hosting, and log-in information for NLR home page. This subscription area should be compatible for Pay Pal or other secured online payment options. ** Main Next Level Recruits site, already has Pay Pal enabled. 2. Provide Easy to change Template for Affiliate sites. ** Programmer, please notify via PMB if more cost effective to have templates produced separately. ** A) Template Must be Web 2.0 DTHML, CSS, XML compliant. B) 3 Templates, 2 for affiliates to choose, and 1 National News for http://news.nextlevelrecruits.com. Affiliates can just upload the area information/name/logo. C) Work with CMS/News Publishing application. D) Sports News orientated in nature and theme. E) All Next Level Recruits, Grahics, Logos and Marketing material are available for winning programmer. 3. Intranet application - This can be with the CMS/News Publication application or stand alone, or integrated. ** Note programmer, please list us options in this executeible area. We are just wanting to have an area where Affiliates can log in, and get News, Marketing & Sales Information, upload pdf files, documents, chat, discuss. This would work like more all typical Intranets. Nothing fancy, just was I listed here. 4. Training of CMS. I have used Joomla slightly. I have also used www.vivvo.net. Joomla is difficult to get. If I don't know how to use the CMS/News Application, either will any recruiter. Conclusion I am not looking at re-inventing code, just looking at what CMS/News Applications are out their, that could work for my project WITHIN MY BUDGET.
