The primary objective of this business model is to create a savvy, professional, full-service community including a retail store, the same store which special product to wholesellers and professionals, a robust user forums designed to encourage a community of core users, and a network designed to link brick and motar stores in the industry with consumers. The term "WEBSITE" is used to refer generically to the online business that is being launched. The term "brick and mortar" refers to otehrwise unrelated physical stores in the industry that may choose to beome a part of the network. **** SEE ATTACHMENT FOR MORE INFORMATION **** All customer, product and order information must be easily on the backend in real time or near-real time in order to monitor sales, target promotions, and update, on an hourly basis, product promotions and specials. Product sales, forums and network components of the site shall be designed with professional, attractive and consistent themes and well integrated themes and functionality. Refer to [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] as an example of a site with similar characteristics. ## Deliverables _OVERALL REQUIREMENTS (Applicable to ALL Components) _1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). _GENERAL DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT_ 4) Development project plan including: timeline for development, milestones, requirements from buyer (data, answers, etc.) 5) Updated splash page with countdown to launch 6) Delivery of aesthetic design concept(s) for approval prior to generation of site (design process can be discussed and agreed upon) _SALES COMPONENT _7) Complete and operational product sales site to include search functions, checkout, etc. 8) Online signup and application submission, including ad pages, for wholesale and professionals (NOTE: these are two separate types of customers and will have two separate sign-up channels). 9) Complete ready to use back-end management (uploading, downloading, viewing, etc.) of product catalog, customer data, sales data, etc. 10) All data (catalog, customers, etc.) managed from a central database _FORUM _11) Complete forum, with specified categories, subject areas, and other components setup installed and ready for use. Existing forum software (e.g. vBulletin) may be utilized and will be provided. Forum software packages may be flexible upon discussion developers 12) Design/appearance of forum must be professional, appealing, and consistent with overall site design _NETWORK _13) Fully functional search options (including quick search by zip on home page and advanced search) 14) Search results list and map showing search results labeled on map 15) Online sign up capability for network participants including data entry, payment processing, and queuing data for reviewer approval 16) Complete and ready to use back-end management including editing, addition or removal of data by administrators 17) Design/appearance of forum must be professional, appealing, and consistent with overall site design _AFFILIATE SITES _18) Completion and installation of two (2) fully operational affiliate sites 19) Integration of affiliate site back end to allow tracking of sales through main site vs. affiliate *_PREPARATION_* _FOR INTERACTIVE/ENTERTAINMENT COMPONENT _20) Preparation for forth site component (interactive entertainment) 21) Development of this component is not required at this point, but site should be designed in such a way that it can be easily added shortly after initial launch 22) A separate bid (open or closed) may be released for this component at a later date _BANNER ADS _23) Two well designed, professional banner ads with consistent theme, for use in marketing the site on other web sites.
