Build a Website

The purpose is to hire an individual at a reasonable rate $16/hr We are seeking a Web Developer to create various websites for The Small Business Platform Inc, a ND based company. This work is ongoing and not just one project, we have multiple sites waiting to be developed. This is a remote (work from home) position. Compensation of $16/hr. 10-25 hours per week to begin, with opportunity for more hours based on performance. Good work will definitely lead to more work. Applicant needs to be dynamic, flexible, motivated, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Applicant must be good at communication and is expected to produce progress reports during projects. Under most circumstances the applicant will be given instructions, whether highly specific, or just general, for tasks to be completed. If the applicant is well suited they may eventually lead projects, that position will pay more per hour when that time comes (meaning there’s room for advancement.) Applicant may be required to meet with clients and team members in person from time to time. Applicant must be able to manage their own time wisely, must be able to meet deadlines set forth by the lead developer, must be able to send notification if deadline cannot be met. Most of the work will be done in WordPress on the front end using already built plugins, however the applicant may deal with raw code from time to time and must be familiar with best practices especially concerning security (don’t trust user input, etc.) Qualifications Prior website development experience Experience with PHP, MySQL and the relational database model, Javascript (along with jQuery), HTML, HTML5, CSS, JSON, PHP PDO preferred Experience with WordPress, writing custom plugins and themes for WordPress Experience with Bootstrap CSS and Bootstrap JS Able to work remotely Strong communication skills Ability to prioritize projects Detail Oriented Attention to security best practices Photoshop and Graphic Design experience a plus Social Media Management experience a plus MUST HAVE GOOGLE EMAIL ADDRESS SO WE CAN SHARE THE PROJECTS Please reply to this post and send us your resume and examples of work or code.
