Hi This is Tapas Das from India. I have around 18 years of experience in Java/J2EE technology and have worked all over the globe with organizations like Citibank and Nomura. Coming to your project, since last 1 years, I am working on SMPP Protocol(using the Cloudhopper open source gateway) and have delivered quite a good speed. My design will be as below : 1. Clients using a tool to send SMS. 2. Through Socket or WebService, the Server will receive the request. I have developed a super fast Java NIO Based socket communication tool for this.(which handles 5 lakhs in 15 seconds). 3. This will then forwarded to one of the engine of a N number of Cluster(we can have tomcat as well as standalone engine). 4. The balance and other sensitive can be loaded in Reddis for quick reference. 5. On Database, using open source MySQL Cluster has given the proper speed.. Let me know your thoughts. regards Tapas Das

Hello, Ever heard of Jasmin SMS Server? It is a high performance in memory open source sms software geared towards huge sms loads. It uses redis, Rabbitmq and python on the back end If this sounds good, we can make use of it Another one I have used extensively is ksmppd; which is a box built on top of kannel. Also very good on high loads. Uses mysql as db storage. Regards
