Find a PHP Developer

Hello, We are looking for a developer who will be able to assist our main developer in completing a web-based software project. The four-year project is near completion, but we need assistance to meet our deadlines. We are looking for a person to provide roughly 400 hours of work initially, with a possible continuing role in ongoing enhancements and upgrades. I will choose 5 developers on Freelancer to do a short task to demonstrate your skills. This small project will allow us to select the ideal developer for the project. Project Write a web program in mivascript (compiled empresa), with jquery, that accepts the input of a unique name to allow a person to read and send messages to other named persons. I.e., I should be able to go to the page, input my name, then see my messages and send messages to any other name. - Names and notes can be stored in miva flat file (import/export) or in a miva xbase3 database. We use mySQL for data storage in real life, but for this program we want to limit it to flat files or xbase3, both are directly supported in miva. - Once a person has submitted name input, their notes should update periodically without user input, i.e. ajax refresh. - Adding user experience features will be a plus, such as message counts, message time, users who have sent messages, pretty styling, and anything else that you can creatively come up with. - This program has no real-world value, it is simply a way to demonstrate your ability to design and create a clean, simple, functional program and demonstrate your ability to use/learn miva and jquery. Estimated time: 30 minutes prep, 30 minutes coding and testing. Add 30-60+ minutes learning time if you do not have knowledge of mivascript syntax.
