Alpha Enterprise Role-Play

This is a sales role play to test your ability to articulate the value proposition and unique features of Amazon Web Services to a variety of audiences – executive, technical and financial. In this role play, you are an AWS account manager who received email request from the business users and CIO of Alpha Enterprise.

You, as an AWS account manager, will have a one-shot chance to have an in-person meeting with the Alpha Enterprise CIO, CTO, and CFO to earn customer trust and have them make the final decision to use AWS. You are required to make a presentation deck on your own. Feel free to leverage the information you found on the internet, but remember to be confident on every detail you present. Be clear, be precise, be well-prepared, and insist high standard. The presentation is expected to be 45 minutes including Q&A.

Scenario – you received an Email from Alpha Enterprise CIO to AWS

Hi AWS representative,

I am the CIO of Alpha Enterprise. Alpha Enterprise is a leading endpoint security company based in Taiwan with business around the world. Our customers are in the industries such as Retail, FSI, Manufacturing, and government. We want to build a next generation, AI-powered security product focusing on enterprise. Our current development process is still traditional approach. We are planning to transform to DevOps so as to cope with ever-changing market dynamics.

We have 5 data centers across APAC, EMEA and US. One of our data centers in US is going to be retired within a year. We want to evaluate whether to move to the cloud or stay on-prem. With that, Alpha Enterprise wants to come up with our product strategy for the next 5 years.

I am seeking for strong justification for us to move the cloud. Why AWS? How difficult is it to use AWS? Cloud computing is one of the options but it’s new to us. We are concerning about security and compliance, pricing, availability, performance, and reliability.

I’d like invite you to present your proposal to our CFO, CTO, and myself. We have 45 minutes including Q&A. I am looking forward to hear from you.

• What is the next step?

• Finally, insist the high standard and wish your success!

I need at least 15+ slides include solution charts plus speaker notes, and 30 potential Q&A session answers list out.
