Hi, Your PC SMPS has a always ON 5V standby power supply, that could easily power your device. The push button interface on your PC works by accepting a Logic Zero or Pull Down to Ground. So you can parallel as many switches you want and in this case it would be an optocoupler to be safe. The only real implementation problem is TAPPING your SMPS 24PIN connector for those connections. There are extender cables available that can do the job. However there can be a non-intrusive way by which you can do this externally, provided your motherboard has a specific functionality.
